Welcoming back our Rest & Relax sessions @ The Mill
We are delighted to be reviving our pre-lockdown Rest & Relax sessions at Moulsham Mill, taught be a range of warm, sensitive Yoga at the Mill teachers with a wealth of experience teaching Restorative Yoga.
These extremely gentle classes are suitable for most people who can get on and off the floor easily. In the main we will be enjoying Restorative Yoga - very soft, supported postures using bolsters and props to invite body, nervous system and mind to drop into a slower gear and a place of all-round greater ease.
Please note: these sessions are very different from a standard yoga class. Restorative Yoga employs soft static postures where we disengage muscles and relinquish effort, allowing ourselves to be still and to truly unwind.
We may also sink into some VERY gentle mindful movement, breathing practices and guided relaxation (sometimes including yoga nidra).
The exact content of the session will vary depending on the background and training of the teacher leading each 90-minute session.
The sessions are aimed at helping us unwind and re-balance our so often-frazzled nervous systems as we soften body, heart and mind. Max ten students.

Is this for me?
Our Rest and Relax workshops are suitable for almost everyone. They are:
Ideal for those looking to relieve stress and anxiety.
Great if you simply need to rest and relax!
A lovely cross-over between meditation and very gentle yoga, and so great for anyone interested in mindfulness, or with an existing practice.
Suitable for those who have limited mobility and/or flexibility - all postures are very gentle. However, since the class is floor based, you will need to be able to lay on the floor for an extended period of time without discomfort, and also get on and off the floor without difficulty.
What shall I bring?
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or use one of ours. Please also bring a blanket. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.
