Our nurturing retreat days and afternoons are set at a peaceful boutique studio in a stunning rural setting outside Chelmsford. Practices will be supremely gentle and rooted in mindfulness, guided relaxation and nature awareness, including silent walks into the surrounding countryside, weather permitting. Curious beginners to retreats and mindfulness are warmly welcome.

Thank you for the day retreat at Little Baddow. It was really enjoyable and was facilitated very well. The day brought a great amount of solace, so thank you.

We have had the pleasure of running retreats at the stunning Retreat Farm, Little Baddow for a decade and a half and love returning to this special dedicated meditation and wellbeing studio surrounded by open countryside yet a 20-minute drive from Chelmsford.

Our retreat- style afternoon mindfulness retreats in beautiful rural Essex will be a chance to pause and connect with both yourself and the surrounding natural world, offering space to pause, rest and replenish, free from technology.

Designed for both beginners and more experienced practitioners alike, they offer a rare invitation to come gently out of our heads and thoughts, into our bodies, offering permission and space to rest, reflect and slow down. With this we can offer ourselves deep appreciation and care whilst experiencing the manifold benefits of spending uninterrupted time in nature.

We will experience varied mindfulness practices both in movement and in stillness. These may include: lying down body scans, sense-based meditations and very gentle mindful movement. Nature appreciation will be cultivated by bringing awareness to our sensory experience (which may include gentle clucking sounds from the roaming chickens!) and through silent personal walks from the door.

All practices will be presented in an accessible, secular, non-dogmatic way and will be sprinkled with poetry and (hopefully!) inspiring readings. The countryside around the venue, which is a dedicated studio space fo meditation and yoga, is quiet and rolling. There’s a blissful absence of road noise. Max just ten students.
